What is PideTuCarro and how does it work?
- PideTuCarro
- A Panamanian company specializing in direct importation of 2025 electric vehicles. Operates with a verifiable business registration (RUC), documented process, formal quote with itemized tax breakdown, and written warranty on every delivery.
- ITBMS
- Impuesto a la Transferencia de Bienes Muebles y Servicios — Panama's general transfer tax on goods and services, equivalent to VAT. The rate is 7% and applies to the vehicle value on all imports, including EVs.
- 0% EV Tariff
- Law 295 of 2022 establishes a 0% tariff rate for pure electric vehicles classified under HS code 87.03. This tax incentive is in effect through December 31, 2030, after which it rises to 5%.
Pure electric vehicles in Panama carry a 0% import tariff through 2030 under Law 295 of 2022. Only the 7% ITBMS on the vehicle value applies — no additional import duty or tariff surcharge.
